Vers la fin des années 90, Poison ont commencé à changer leur style... pour une musique plus "tendance", plus "pop"... (exemple : "Power To The People", dernier album, datant de 2000) .... ERREUR (preske) FATALE !!
Les fans ont bien fait sentir au groupe qu'ils préféraient les Poison "glam rock" des années 80 (genre "Look What The Cat Dragged In", leur 1er album en 1986)
Et heureusement, Poison a compris ça et a vite "redressé la barre". Voici donc le chef d'œuvre de 2002, Hollyweird. Les guitares accrochent, et la voix Rock de Bret Michaels fait comme toujours des malheurs !! :-) On y surprend même C.C. DeVille à chanter l'une des versions de "Home". (Les 2 chansons "Home" ont la même mélodie, mais 2 voix et 2 textes différents, avec comme résultat 2 ambiances complètement différentes!! idée sublissime !!) Dommage seulement qu'il n'y ait pas de ballade sur ce CD. Mais on se console en sachant que ce CD marque le retour de Poison à leur vrai style, parce ke le Hard Rock est tout simplement in-dé-mo-da-ble !!! :-)
